Yeah, which is odd because usually they do make that play. Perhaps they’ve realized that they’re already behind the curve in this market & think it’s not worth their effort to try to dominate it.

So very true. This is a win for apple users, but i don’t think they are making much of a play for the non apple crowd.

Fair enough. If you are someone who owns a lot of Apple devices, then I can totally understand the appeal, but otherwise I don’t see where it has an advantage. Me personally, I don’t own anything Apple (not even an iPod) so I wouldn’t be able to benefit from any of those features. That said, I can very much understand the appeal of that to someone who does.

I actually am pretty excited for this new apple tv. I have to say also that i loved the old version, and have used it heavily for over two years now. While not apples greatest masterpiece, I have found it to be a really nice piece of my apple setup that allows me to integrate phone, laptop, and iPad with my tv. I am most excited about the new ability to stream straight from iPhone and iPad to the apple tv. That is the killer feature from where i sit.
