On recommendation/action of @AsianMartin the Twitter hashtag #BMWMonday, which has been used to connect a group of BMW enthusiasts on Twitter, is being renamed/regrouped under the new hashtag #BMWBunch. His explanation was the following:
There are other days than Monday, therefore I am labeling the #BMWMonday crowd the #BMWbunch , if ya'll don't mind. Pass it along.
— Martin G. (@AsianMartin) March 22, 2010 So…I’m passing it along. It’s a good point and a good idea, so let’s run with it.
I’m excited to announce that I’m starting a BMW podcast, called RoundelTable. RoundelTable will be a weekly show, which will cover a wide variety of topics related to BMW including news & events, tech talk, etc. We’ll regularly have guests to provide in-depth insight into various aspects of the world of BMW. You can find the podcast at roundeltable.com, or on Twitter @RoundelTable. Stay tuned!
Update: RoundelTable has moved to the Wheelspin Network.
I’ve created a new Twitter account dedicated to all things BMW relating to me. You can find it at @conoverbmw. I’ll be using this Twitter account in conjunction with this blog, and to post anything I find or do involving BMW, including finding and propagating other BMW-related Twitter accounts.
Update: My BMW Twitter account is no longer active. I decided that it was counter productive to compartmentalize my various interests on Twitter, so I’ve consolidated back to my original, primary Twitter account.
I picked up a new (to me) car on January 9th. I apologize about the posting delay, I kinda forgot to do it. Anyway, it’s a 2001 BMW 330ci, black with black leather interior, sport package, and generally excellent shape. I found it on the BMW CCA classifieds section, for an intriguingly low price. I emailed the seller asking for more information, and the reply was better than I could have ever hoped for.
BMW of my “dreams” is right…it’s actually an artist’s rendering of their idea of a BMW supercar. It takes cues from the M1 Hommage, and the Vision EfficientDynamics concept. When it all comes together, you get one completely badass car. If BMW ever makes this (or anything close to it) I would do crazy things to get my hands on one.
The source article for this can be found here.
Since my accident and subsequent totaling of my car, I’m looking to make an upgrade to replace it. I’m in the market for a 1995 BMW M3 5spd. My ideal color would be either Brilliantrot or Hellrot, followed by Cosmos black. I’ve found a few potential vehicles, but I’ll update here on how the search is going.
