Meet Tug, my newest vehicle! Tug is a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It’s a bit of a departure from all of my previous cars, but I absolutely love it.
This post is actually many months late, since I bought Tug in June 2016. I’ve liked the FJ Cruiser from the first time I saw and sat in one at an auto show in early 2008. Not thinking of myself as much of a truck guy, and being all in on BMW, I’d never given any serious thought to owning one until the spring and summer of 2016.
Meet the newest addition to my automotive family: Gisela, a 2003 BMW 330i ZHP. She’s Imola Red (Imolarot 2 to be specific) with black leather interior. I’ve had her for about a month, and I’m in love.
Gisela is my third BMW. My first was Erika, a 1992 325is in Brilliantrot, and my second was Natalia, a black 2001 330ci. This is the first 4 door BMW I’ve owned, and I’m really enjoying the convenience of having the rear doors.
After the bulb sockets in my car’s corner lights and the turn signal socket in one of my tail lights went bad, I decided it was time to replace a number of the exterior lights on her. I replaced everything except the headlights, which are the OEM units from the factory (I really like the OEM HIDs, so I see no need to swap them out).
The first thing I replaced was my corner lights.
Last night Natalia hit a major milestone: 200,000 miles! This makes the 3rd car I’ve had to hit this point. Not everyone is a fan of seeing these sorts of things on their cars, but I consider it a point of pride that my car has gone this far and is still running like a champ.
Who else has had their car reach 200k miles (or even higher)?
Ok, the title may sound a little dramatic but I’d never heard one quite like this & I figured you guys haven’t either. Regardless, I rigged up some microphones on the rear of my car the other day to capture the sound of the car & exhaust at various speeds, gears & throttle positions. I’m planning to use this audio in an upcoming video, but I wanted to share some of the more interesting clips here.
I picked up a new (to me) car on January 9th. I apologize about the posting delay, I kinda forgot to do it. Anyway, it’s a 2001 BMW 330ci, black with black leather interior, sport package, and generally excellent shape. I found it on the BMW CCA classifieds section, for an intriguingly low price. I emailed the seller asking for more information, and the reply was better than I could have ever hoped for.
Since my accident and subsequent totaling of my car, I’m looking to make an upgrade to replace it. I’m in the market for a 1995 BMW M3 5spd. My ideal color would be either Brilliantrot or Hellrot, followed by Cosmos black. I’ve found a few potential vehicles, but I’ll update here on how the search is going.
